Through a message on his official fan site on Sunday, Jung wrote, "There is someone new that my heart is warming to so we're in the process of starting to spend enjoyable times together after the drama ended."
The two were spotted in France two weeks ago, walking the streets of Saint-Honore, near the Champs-Elysees in Paris with E's hand snuck into Jung's coat pocket.
However, the two stars and their representatives had kept mum on reports and rumor saying the two are romantically involved.
E did not comment on her relationship after Jung made their relationship official, but her agency KEYEAST said over the phone, "It is not something for us to speak about since it's related to her personal life. All we know is that Jung made the announcement after consideration of E's position. She will speak about her relationship herself when she gets the chance to."
Jung, 37 and E, seven years younger, played past lovers in "Athena," SBS' spin-off to KBS' blockbuster hit series "IRIS" which ran from mid-December of last year to late February this year.
Jung has been one of the most widely known actors in Korea since debuting in 1994, starring in over two dozen Korean dramas and films including internationally acclaimed pic "The Good, The Bad, The Weird" (2008)" and most recently, Chinese-speaking feature "Reign of Assassin" (2010) co-starring Chinese actress Michelle Yeoh.
E made her debut in the 2007 historical epic "Four Gods" as Suzini, the love interest of Hallyu star Bae Yong-jun . She also appeared in the big screen with "My Love, Ugly Duckling" alongside actor Kang Ji-hwan.
